How do I prepare my students for the three-point assessment scale?

The three-point scale was developed in collaboration with a group of educators to provide students with a simple and visual way to quantify their assessment responses.

Our iOS assessment app features a pre-assessment section, which asks students a series of general questions in order to gauge their understanding of the scale.

By completing the pre-assessment questions with each student, teachers and assessors should be able to identify whether or not they understand the scale and are ready to be assessed.

The three points on the scale represent “A little”, “Sometimes”, and “A lot”.

Questions like “How often do you brush your teeth?”, or “How often do you ride the bus to school?” provide teachers with the opportunity to determine whether or not their student understands the scale and is ready for assessment.
